Other Voices is a collaborative archive of stories shared by LGBTQ+ educators around the world.
Every pin marks a place that was part of someone’s journey: where they felt safe, where they had to hide, where they found community, where they decided to leave or where they finally felt they belonged.
Bringing these stories together, the map becomes more than a collection of individual memories. It becomes a shared memory we can preserve, learn from and see ourselves in.
How to share your experience
Every story begins somewhere.
Choose a place on the map that is meaningful to your story. It might be a happy, painful or everyday experience, or something that changed your life. Write in the language, style and format that feel most like you. There is no one right way to tell your story.
Privacy
We know that not every LGBTQ+ educator can safely or openly share their story. Depending on where you live and work, sharing aspects of your identity or experience may carry personal, professional or social risks.
If you choose to share your story, it will be published anonymously. The form does not ask for your name or other identifying information. Please avoid including names, schools, workplaces or other details that could identify you or someone else.
To help protect your privacy, we do not show the exact location of a story, only the region or country.
All stories are reviewed before publication to help maintain a respectful and safe space.
